Dr. Sara Aharon is a registered psychologist and a member in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She obtained her doctorate in Psychology from the University of Toronto.

Professional experience includes:
  • Providing innovative treatment approaches for individuals suffering from symptoms of PTSD (nightmares, flashbacks, dissociation)
  • Working with a range of psychological issues (i.e. depression, anxiety, OCD) in a general hospital setting
  • Dealing with the aftermath of traumatic experiences such as childhood abuse, accidents, injuries, violence and war
  • Developing and supervising a program for concurrent Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Addictions for Canadian soldiers, veterans and members of other hazardous occupations
  • Group and individual work with clients dealing with addictions (drugs and alcohol, gambling, eating disorders and other compulsive disorders)
  • Working with individuals suffering from various health problems including chronic illness, chronic pain and sleep disorders

Dr. Aharon is a part time lecturer at the University of Toronto, in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. She presents in conferences regularly on the topics of trauma and addictions and have been interviewed on television, radio and printed media.
